My car battery goes dead if I don’t start it every 2-3 days. I want to go away for 2 weeks or so.. would I be able to leave a solar battery charger hooked up to my auto for that amount of time?
I haven’t bought one yet just collecting information right now.

So I want to go completely solar. Do I need the connected solar panels alone for after sundown hours; Do I need something else in order to have energy to run my entire house throughout the night?
In other words do solar panels store the energy for after sun-down or do I need other devices to store the energy?

how much of my power needs would this generate? This system would be not be tied to the grid unless there’s a benefit. We use about 600kw monthly and receive 5.5 hours of sun light daily. Thank you for any help. Chris

I have a portable speaker/music system that is powered by a 12V-7AH battery. I have a couple extra batteries, and would like to be able to charge them via a 12 volt car charger (and/or a 12 volt solar panel with car socket that I have). I have an AC charger for the speaker itself but would like to charge the batteries directly via DC. Is this possible and if so, what would I need to buy/construct?
What kind of solar charger controller would I need? A quick google search pulled up a bunch but they all seem a little big and pricey?

I plan to buy solar panels of the following configuration:
Sun Force 39110 / 123 watt – 7 amps
To run through an inverter, to produce the 110v I need to run the pump during the day.
The pump is 110v / 7.5 amps / 0.5 HP
My question is, how many solar panels would I need to run the pump?

I have a 12v 100ah sealed battery which was given to me. It is around 8 months old. I tested it and it was giving off 5.5v. I tried connecting it to a 35w solar panel (using a regulator) and taking regular readings. It was left for a week and there was still no change to the voltage in the battery.
I then tried connecting it to my car battery charger for a few hours (a 10amp charger) – still the battery will not increase its charge. Is there anything I can do to get it back up to 12v?
