Can anyone tell me what wattage I need. I done some calculations which i dont know is correct but I got 12 watts. Can anyone help

I am looking into buying a portable solar charger for my laptop, but can’t find any information on how long these products are supposed to last. I know thin film panels usually only have warranties for 5-10 years in normal solar panels (versus longer lifespans with the crystalline panels). I don’t know how to translate that information into making a purchase, though.

Does anyone know of a clearinghouse of information on portable solar chargers?

Any information you could provide would be greatly appreciated.

I am using the battery and solar panel on a deer feeder. The solar panel just maintains the charge. I didn’t know if the battery would deplete faster than the smaller volt solar panel could supply a charge.

I am trying to find a way to power my sirius sattelite boom box using solar. I was thinking of using the 12v 5 watt panel offered on harborfreight.com (ITEM 41144-0VGA) with my boombox (SUBX2.) The only problem that I see is the input voltage on the boombox is 12v 3amps where the solar cell is 5 amps. How do I regulate the ampreage?

Does anyone know a link, or where to find, a solar charger for either/and/or ipods and cell phones? I get to get one more thing for Christmas, and I heard they have solar chargers. Any ideas? If not, I am asking for a bike.

I am getting a 3rd generation ipod nano and I also have a Siemens cell phone, model SCH-u340…so they would have to work with them.
